Happy Happy Happy - Joy Joy Joy

"We are pleased to inform you that the Applications Committee has approved your application to study at Laidlaw College, commencing in semester two of 2011.
You have been accepted into the Diploma of Biblical Studies programme. We trust that your acceptance will confirm the Lord’s guidance to you."

Does it what!!!

Essay #2 is sitting at 2600 words, without an intro/outro/linking sentences or NT/Jesus/Church stuff. Never mind. It's easier to cut back than to write more. Due Sunday midnight 12 June. I think I'm even looking forward to the exam at the end of the month - strange woman.

So, what's involved in a Diploma of Biblical Studies?

8 papers, worth 15 credits each, total 120 Credits at Level 5. You can take up to 8 years to complete it.

So far, I've done 3 papers: Ways of Knowing (mostly philosophy); Worldviews; and Biblical Theology. These were done as non-formal study, but count towards the Diploma.

Next semester, it's Introduction to the Old Testament.

2012: Theology: Introduction and Formation
2013: New Testament: Introduction and History of Christianity: Early church to reformation
By then, I'll need to have talked to the Academic staff and see what they suggest.

2014: Theology: God & Creation maybe.

Then it'll be time to look at the Bachelor of Theology - which would take another 12 papers to complete. The curriculum may have changed by then, but if it doesn't, I already have a list made up.
