MONDAY
Om nom nom nom. Scallops n salmon n sticky date pudding are in my tummy, and vodka is on my mind. Warm, sleepy and full of food after a busy day. I just love the way I come to Sydney for a training course, and spend the day working my tail off!

Training consisted of about 10 minutes going thru a checklist with one of the new Ulta units with my boss, and then me spending the rest of the day checking 13 of them! Oh well, only 5 left to do tomorrow, and then I get to play. Now, my idea of play is fixing things, and the shelves in the workshop and chock-full of machines to be repaired - oh happy day!

When the boss is not on the warehouse floor, or in his office, the cleaning/repair guys don't do ANY WORK - they mooch around like lost souls, gossiping with each other! WTF? And the number 1 slacker was away sick today - alcohol poisoning - which seems to be a daily occurrence.

There's a high level of irony that they've paid a small fortune for one of the Sydney guys to go to Auckland and do my job, and me to be sent here to do someone else's job.

Oh well, never mind. At least I get to use up a couple of thousand words!

SUNDAY
Sitting in my hotel room (Quest, North Ryde, Sydney) with the setting sun coming in the window. My feet, knees and hip hurt, but it's been another lovely day. I actually feel like I've been on holiday!

Yesterday we walked around the CBD, visited the Market at the Rocks, and caught the train back to Kings Cross, where we had dinner at the same restaurant down in Wooloomooloo - something Marinara - nom nom.

Today we walked around the Cross area - but we were too early to find much of anything open. The we walked across the valley to Martin Pl train station, and caught a train back to the Cross, and lunch.

Left the milk sitting in the fridge in the Hotel! grrr! David Billinghurst is on his way home to Auckland, and I'm here for 2 1/2 more days.

miss you darling. — at Quest North Ryde.

SATURDAY

Spent most of the day walking around Sydney. Brunch at QBV, went thru the market at the Rocks. Feet and hips hurt, but it's been a lovely day.Nearly time for some dinner. Tomorrow morning, hope to take the train out to Bondi. Cool!
A narrow lane off George Street - filled with hanging bird cages - awesome!

QVB - looking straight up at the dome - love the concentric circles, and the green glass! This is where we had brunch, and David found some decals.
Sydney tower, from Potts Point, through a gap in the buildings - from one ridge to another.
Mr B sitting in Hyde Park, with a RAA stone. We'd been watching the Ibis's, and a guy making giant bubbles. We'd both got to the stage that we couldn't walk any further! Fortunately it wasn't far to Martin Place and the train station. Phew.
