I live in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges in Auckland, New Zealand, with my husband David, daughter Becca (aged 12) We have 2 dogs, Kama and Tara, are owned by 2 black cats, and a handful of tropical fish. I work full time as a biomedical technician. I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Theology at Laidlaw college, on a part-time basis - 1 paper per semester - which will take 8 years to complete.
I look after a trap line up in the bush, catching stoats and rats.
I enjoy using a variety of media in art-making, including rust-dyeing, encaustic, acrylic paint, natural and man-made materials. I'm trying to spend less time reading about art, and spend more time actually making art.
